Natasha worked in the travel industry at Avis Budget Group, managing global partnerships with airlines such as British Airways. She then ran an online business selling personalised gifts, mainly for babies and children. More recently, she has been running a business selling South African yoga and pilates clothing online and at events in gyms, fairs and private house sales.
Alongside this, she has been involved in a number of voluntary roles, including as a committee member and shop assistant at a village community shop, and working with a charity supporting older people to combat loneliness through visits and telephone contact.
At Burningfold, Natasha is involved in viewings, showing couples the estate and outlining how a wedding works here. She also attends meetings ahead of the wedding day to run through the details with couples and meet suppliers such as caterers and florists. On the day itself, she works as part of the team to ensure everything follows the plan set out, coordinating logistics such as furniture, marquee setup and the smooth running of the day.
Having known Jess and Richard for many years and living locally, she jumped at the chance to help showcase Burningfold as a wedding venue. It’s a wonderful part of the country and a beautiful backdrop throughout the year. She enjoys being part of a small team and values that each couple and their wedding are unique.
Wedding days are always busy but joyful, and Natasha especially enjoys seeing a couple’s plans come to life - from drinks around the pool to carefully chosen flowers in the ceremony and marquee, or fires lit for a smaller winter wedding.
What makes Burningfold feel special is the history of the Manor and the estate, along with the ability to use different spaces depending on each couple’s ideas and numbers. With a limited number of weddings each year and no back-to-back events, each couple is able to feel that the venue is exclusively theirs.
One of the moments that stands out most often comes later in the day, after the ceremony, when couples are able to step back, wander between their guests and spend time in the gardens, taking everything in and looking so happy.
Above all, Natasha hopes couples feel complete trust that the Burningfold team have everything under control, allowing them to relax and enjoy their day as their plans and ideas come to life in a beautiful setting.
